Who We Are
Hope on Wheels Canada is the Canadian arm of Moviendo Esperanzas, a Costa Rican ministry that has been putting love into practice since 2004.
This Is Us
Moviendo Esperanzas (AME) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization with Christian foundations, based in Costa Rica and founded in 2004.
The ministry works across the whole country through five social programs, supporting families in socially and economically vulnerable conditions through practical projects and actions — without discrimination, and without promoting any form of proselytism.
AME has a Board of Directors officially registered with the Costa Rican state and a small operational structure. Its mission is carried out with the support of a valuable team of volunteers, collaborators, and local leaders — which keeps the organization efficient and its impact significant.
Everything AME does is inspired by the love, compassion, and hope found in Christ.

Our Part in the Story
Of AME's five programs, this Canadian site exists to support one: Esperanzas Sobre Ruedas — Hope on Wheels — the wheelchair distribution ministry. Every dollar raised here goes toward importing, restoring, custom-fitting, and delivering wheelchairs to Costa Ricans who need them.
